Design Thinking: Ciara Chyanne

In Graduate School, one of the buzzwords professors love to discuss is "Design Thinking." Design Thinking is an iterative process in which we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems to identify alternative strategies and solutions that might not be instantly apparent with our initial level of understanding (Dam and Siang). Design Thinking enables a company to understand consumer needs to serve their audience better. For this project, I contacted different companies to learn how the organizations apply Design Thinking to their market offerings. I spoke with Amazon's Making The Cut Contestant Ciara Chyanne and learned more about her company.

Ciara Chyanne is different than other brands on the market because I have a unique story to tell, expressing it through my designs to share with the world.

2. How does Ciara Chyanne stay ahead of upcoming trends?

Ciara Chyanne follows the trends globally and ensures we stay relevant with the times, but we pride ourselves on setting trends, not following them based on what we love. We are the trendsetter when it comes to color, texture, and silhouettes.

4. What is the future of the company?

The future of the company is growing into a lifestyle brand that sells more than just woman's clothing. We will be expanding our product line into footwear and handbags in the near future and menswear later down the line.
