Design Thinking: JMP The Label

In Graduate School, one of the buzzwords professors love to discuss is “Design Thinking.” Design Thinking is an iterative process in which we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems to identify alternative strategies and solutions that might not be instantly apparent with our initial level of understanding (Dam and Siang). Design Thinking enables a company to understand consumer needs to serve their audience better. For this project, I contacted different companies to learn how organizations apply Design Thinking and spoke to Jaymi Washburn to learn more about the company.

1. What makes JMP The Label different from other brands?
JMP The Labe's guiding lights are body positivity, sustainability, and excellent customer service. We have several measures to ensure each garment adheres to these principles. When a bathing suit is in its design stage, we use multiple reference models to ensure our fit is correct for every size. We also use the best fabrics in our products. JMP The Lavel is a brand that believes in women supporting women by creating opportunities for every customer to feel comfortable in our clothes. We also believe in protecting the planet. We ship all our goods in reusable silicone bags. Our customer service team makes our customers feel comfortable and confident throughout the shopping experience.
